Name: Georgia Tech Emergency Medical Services (GT EMS)
Description: Georgia Tech Emergency Medical Services is a local chapter of the National Collegiate Emergency Medical Services Foundation (NCEMSF). GT EMS provides an opportunity for students to get help becoming certified EMTs and giving back to the campus while getting high-level clinical experience. EMT training gives pre-health students access to exclusive clinical experiences like providing treatment for patients, practicing implementing medical knowledge, and job opportunities that aren’t available anywhere else! We plan to give our members opportunities to get CPR/AED/First-Aid certification and help them join an EMT-training course to become certified before volunteering as an EMT on campus. We are currently in the process of getting chartered on campus, but we are looking to make an impact as soon as possible!
